Pase Active member. It has nothing to do with time in terms of minutes and seconds so to speak. The way you learn how long verses, hooks ect. Bars, thats what people are talking about when they are ranting and raving about "a hot 16" as in 16 bars.
Kojak New member. You write it in bars of 4 beats to the bar. You can translate this into seconds by doing some basic division, but you shouldn't need to translate into seconds or milliseconds unless you're dealing with an effects unit. Basic music theory. Yeah they are tlkaing about bars, your first chop should be in bars anyway, get 8 bars for a verse really because they should be able to spit to lines depending on how the loop is.
This is where prechoruses come in. The bridge or prechorus is the section after the verse that prepares us for the chorus. Lyrically, the bridge often remains the same for each occurrence and builds a sense of anticipation for the chorus by heightening suspense or tension in various ways.
