Why dungeoneer runescape

This is just the most idiotic game design I've ever come across. You nerf me exp wise because i don't have a level that i couldn't possible predict I'd have needed because it's randomly generated?

If i can pot to the level fair enough but on many occasions that's not even possible. I'm using the word retarded a lot. Perhaps that's a better word for this skill than crap. Certain bosses will hit you so high and fast that it's impossible to heal through it. Then theres other joys with the bosses like this chap. Me and a mate was speed running through some low level floors on f2p cause the monsters levels are lower so keep in mind I'm a level and hes we shouldn't have any issues just walking through these floors on complex 1 size 1 or whatever.

But this guy killed us both. Not because hes a hard boss. But because hes cheap. He smashed down the rocks and we couldn't get near him. And he refused to remove them. This is a common theme with dungeoneering bosses. There cheap and buggy. Add to the retarded boss fights the retarded players and you get mass retardation.

The amount of times these idiots have teleported out of a boss fight and sat outside the room letting me soak up the damage because they ran out of food.

So i can die over and over so you don't have to? AGAIN nothing against low levels but your usually the culprits. Every time someone opens up a door you get a second or two lag. When you switch on your prayer even though it's clearly showing above your head you still get hit because theres a lag delay. This is an MMO. Theres two things you should expect from an MMO. One is lots of people. Two is freedom. Freedom to choose what i want to do, where i want to go. Yada yada. I can't solo dungeoneering.

I tried. My usual k exp got me 3k or so exp instead on my own. I get why you put it in. I can go on and on. And on. You said that this skill was supposed to be part of your new game now canceled i can see why you binned it. What i don't get is why you put it in runescape. It clearly has issues and you've made no attempt in the year it's been out to fix them. A few things cause I've heard the same tired arguments off people that know nothing so I'm saving time; First I'm 22 years old.

That means a few things. One of them is i generally don't know many people irl who play rs. Those that do lead busy lives and finding a time when we're all free and all up for dungeoneering is a rarity and not a viable option.

Secondly yes i can solo it and get to level But technically i can get 99 woodcutting on normal trees. I'm not about to do that because it's not a viable option. Going back to me being 22 means i have other things to do. I don't lead the busiest life ever but i can't sit up till stupid o clock waiting for online friends from across the sea to get on to do some dungeoneering.

Which cuts down my ability to group up with online friends as well. So the very best solution is to find randoms. Feel free to agree with me and post your own hatred for this awful skill. I want 50 pages then I'll print this off, wrap it around a brick and toss it through there window. Love you all. Thank you. Mike wrote:. Lol yeah I agree with that. XD Although I don't necessarily hate finding a group in the way you have to, kind of dumb to have a fally world 2 type match finding environment I guess they kind of thought those rooms would be enough lmao What I hate most is as you've ranted is no other skill makes me team up with a bunch of randoms and have my xp rate dependent on their ability and competence.

Or makes me play for over an hour just to get my xp. I think it's the worst skill but I'm not one of those people like who cry over that it's a minigame or something. Posted: Mon Mar 07, pm. I personally disagree with all of this, Dungeoneering is one of my favorite skills. When it first came out and I started training it, I thought that it was crap and everything you said, but now that I have gotten a higher level in it, it seems easier to find teams, more routine and streamline, and I find it quite enjoyable.

It is a skill that does not involve grinding, you are fighting different monsters, solving puzzles, and fighting bosses. And once you get a chaotic weapon and access to frost dragons, you will begin to love this skill for its rewards. I feel it is a great skill and I disagree with your personal opinion on it. Everybody has their own opinoin on stuff like this and mine is a positive one.

And to be honest, getting a team is easy once you can use world rather than that ghetto death pit that is world Dungeoneering is something that is not for everyone, I personally think it should be a minigame, but somehow it was made a skill. Edit: I agree with the lag when opening doors, that is just horrible and needs to be fixed. Some of the bosses, like stomp are just a pain in the rear, but some of them like grave creeper are pretty fun to fight.

From what I heard and what I understood in your post, correct me if I'm wrong, you need a group of people in order to train it. Therefore the concept in itself is bound to be a failure. You should never depend on other people to train a skill. You either have to wait for your friends to get on to train, and that's if they actually want to. Count also the fact that you might have no friend playing the game at all. If not, you have to find other players. I also heard alot about 'Cheap Bosses', like you've said.

Apparently they hit you so high that you have to click on like 5 sharks to get your health back to normal. It shouldn't work that way. A hard boss is one that has a very high accuracy.

A one-two hit boss is stupid. This said, Dungeoneering should not be a skill but rather a minigame probably alot of people said that but I'm not a player so don't mind that. It ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. I quit reading after you started being lvl'ist of people with lower level combat than you.

It doesn't matter if your a level 3 or a level Everyone can bring something to the table. I've seen pvp 3's that were more help than anyone on a maxed combat team You know why? Because they keep the team going with potions and food. They might not be able to do as much combat but still.. I'll continue reading when you get you head out of you lvl butt. Saying it is crap is your own opinoin, which not everybody agrees with, so keep it to yourself. You cannot prove an opinoin to be fact. Posted: Tue Mar 08, am.

Ok guys, I'll say this to you all just once. This is an topic based on people's opinions. Feel free to disagree with those opinions.

Don't feel free to insult each other based on those opinions. It doesn't matter what people think, they should be free to state it as long as they aren't breaking one of Rsbandb's rules. This goes for people that have posted in this topic, as well as people who have yet to post in the topic. If I see anymore namecalling or other sorts of behaviour after this post, don't be surprised if you get a PM from me or another mod.

You all know better than this. Posted: Tue Mar 08, pm. Ok creepy With your matchmaking idea That would have to be so complex The lines of code would have to find levels near you which I don't understand why you still are against skillers , find the people that need the same floors, along with the "anti-quitter" which I don't see happening because realize if you get stuck in a dungeon and the whole group has to leave They are all quitters.

I'm guessing you gonna say "well people can flag them as quitters Most monsters in Daemonheim are aggressive and will attack you.

Pick up any keys you find lying around, and collect the useful items that the monsters have dropped. Continue through the rest of the catacomb-like dungeon. The number of rooms you will have to work through depends on the size of your party and whether you have chosen to raid a small, medium, or large dungeon.

Be sure to fight all the monsters you can, because fighting counts towards your Dungeoneering Prestige. It is advisable not to run away from a battle.

Use the Daemonheim map located beneath your mini-map to see any rooms you have not unlocked yet. Remember to turn your camera north first, before opening the map, or else the map will be very confusing.

The boss monster room if you have unlocked it yet will be indicated with a skull symbol. If you do not raid all the rooms in each dungeon, you will receive less experience at the end.

Finish all the rooms before venturing into the boss room. Take plenty of food preferably short-finned eels or giant flatfish with you. Once you reach complexity 2, you can fish inside Daemonheim. Once you defeat the boss monster, climb up the ladder at the end of the room to finish the raid. Look at how much experience you have received.

A pop-up will appear on your screen, tallying up your xp. When it has finished counting, you will be awarded a number of tokens.

The number of tokens you receive is equivalent to one tenth of the xp you receive rounding down. You can exchange these tokens for rewards with the Rewards Trader outside Daemonheim. Include your email address to get a message when this question is answered. You will find it easier to train Dungeoneering as a non-member if you already have all your other skills trained to level 50 and above.

Even with high levels you will still find that you cannot open some doors because you need more skills. If you cannot open a door, it means you will receive less experience at the end of the raid. Helpful 0 Not Helpful 0. Try to get through as many rooms as possible, even if they aren't required.

This gives you more experience. Try to get players lower than your own level in a party. The monsters may be a little less powerful. Keep these items with you at all times.

Although it is only a last resort, you may die a lot of times. Remember that you can use the Home Teleport in your spellbook at any time to return to the smuggler. It may be a good idea to create a gate stone before you teleport, as you can get back to your original location much quicker.

The first boss monster you will encounter inside Daemonheim will most likely be the "Gluttonous Behemoth". This boss is easy to defeat, because it will have one food source in the room for each member in your party or just one.

If every player stands between the monster and a food source whilst attacking, you will find that it cannot heal between attacks and you will be able to defeat it quickly. Here is a list, outlining the different complexities. With every raid you complete, you will unlock a new complexity, until you reach level 6. Complexity 1: Only combat.

Armour and weapons are given. No shop stock. Minimal shop stock. Complexity 3: Now also Mining and Smithing weapons and Runecrafting. Only armour is given. Smith your own weapons. Increased shop stock. Complexity 4: Making armour allowed thus: Crafting. No armour or weapons allocated. More stock in shop. Complexity 5: No F2P skills added. The same as complexity 4 for F2P. Complexity 6: No F2P skills added. Full complexity. Make your own equipment. Full shop stock. Items inside Daemonheim are valued according to tiers.

Only tiers are available to non-members. If you receive an item that you would like to use in every raid, you can bind it to you by right-clicking on it, and selecting "Bind". At level 1 Dungeoneering, you can bind one item and of one type of rune or arrow like this.

You will then receive this item again at the beginning of every raid. Bind a new weapon or platebody every time your attack or defense allows you to equip a new one. The best and sometimes only way to get these advanced equipment is to smith it, where you need tons of rusty coins to buy ore, coins you could have bought food or more armor with. Binding advanced and best equipment to yourself saves time and work.

If the above can't be done because of a low smithing level, ask someone with a high smithing level, preferably a friend, to make the equipment for you. Submit a Tip All tip submissions are carefully reviewed before being published. Death is safe inside Daemonheim.

You will not lose any items and will be teleported back to the smuggler so that you can enter the dungeon again. However, you will gain less experience for every death you have at the end of the raid. Helpful 5 Not Helpful 0. Don't get players higher leveled than you in a party. The higher a level a group member is than you, the stronger the monsters. Remember, the only way to get rid of a bound item is to destroy it.

Think before you bind.
